So you've decided to take a guitar. It can be challenging but very rewarding hobby. Many novice players feel like they need to learn a lot of technical aspects of music to play the guitar well. This, unfortunately, could not be further from the truth. Learning to read tablature, you can play some simple beginner guitar songs in no time.

To learn how to read tablature, it is best that you visit websites listed below. They have a section on lessons, and in this section are some lessons on how to read tablature. Once you have learned to do so, you can choose any of the information that is on the site. There are some bands out there that have written songs with simple structures. My first suggestion is the song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana. It's a simple song consisting of power chords in the strict sense. If you are looking to play something a bit more melodic and optimistic, you can take a look at the Foo Fighters, focusing on topics such as "Everlong."

From these basics, you can skip to songs by Metallica, as they still contain a lot of power chords, but have the added difficulty of dedicated guitar solos, and some riffs thrown into the mix. In this way, you are gradually developing your technique and playing hard just the most difficult songs.

Over time, you can play the most challenging tracks and songs that you started will seem like a walk in the park. Good luck with your trip to play the guitar!
